Acronicta sp.

This is a dagger moth in the genus Acronicta. These larvae specialize on plants in a few families, such as willow, alder, birch, and elm. The adult moths are relatively large and are attracted to lights at night. They get their common name "dagger moth" by the black dashes on their forewings.
