New Robot!

New Green RobotHunter Lloyd, CS Department's robotics professor introduced one of his new robots to students at Beaverhead County High School in Dillon, September 29, 2014.  The new robot (he's the green one on the right) still doesn't have a name, but maybe students can give him suggestions.  Hunter also has a new NAO robot, like Looney, but blue. Hunter is in the Great Falls area today where he will visit:

October 6 - Simms High School, 2:00 p.m.

October 7 - East Middle School, 9:00 a.m.

                   Fort Benton and Highwood, 4-8th grades, Ft. Benton Elementary gym, 1:00 p.m.

October 8 - Fairfield High School, 9:30 a.m.

                   Sacajawea Elementary School, 3rd-6th grades, 1:00 p.m.

MSU Students Attend Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing

Grace Hopper Conference PhotoFifteen computer science students from MSU attend the international GRACE HOPPER Celebration of Women in Computing, gracehopper.org.  The annual conference, is attended by over 5000 and is the largest gathering recognizing the contribution of women in technology.  

Who is Grace Hopper? She was a pioneer in the field of computing and an inspiration to computer scientists around the globe.To learn more about Grace Hopper (1906- 1992), please go to Biography.com's website.
