Advisory Committee

The Diversity Advisory Committee was convened in the spring of 2012 to address issues of representation and student support on the MSU-Bozeman campus. In an effort to keep administration informed of student concerns, and maintain goals that remain relevant, the committee is comprised of students representing a variety of backgrounds on campus as well as representation from ASMSU. The committee meets monthly with the Diversity Awareness Office, setting goals for the year and working towards an inclusive campus environment.

Goals for the 2012-2013 year have been identified as:

1. Conducting Study circles with underrepresented groups to determine perceptions of the MSU campus climate.

2. Determine perceived underrepresented student groups needs on campus.

3. Develop recommendations for areas where student support can be improved upon to promote growth and retention of diversity at Montana State University.
