The Indian Student Association at Montana State University would like to invite the MSU Campus and the Bozeman community to the third annual India Night. This year, India Night: ’10: Diwali-Celebration of the Festival of Lights.
A significant festival in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism, celebrated on the first day of the lunar Karthika month, where the lights represent the victory of good over evil, and as the last harvest of the year is finished, prayers for a good year ahead are made. The Indian Student Association is organizing India Night and inviting the public to attend.
India Night will be held on Sunday November 21, 2010 from 6-9pm in the SUB Ballrooms. The evening will consist of presentations about India, a variety of entertainment (including music and dance) and Indian food prepared by members of the ISA. Tickets will be sold for $7 and will be available November 15th -19th in the Strand Union Building from 12-2pm Monday through Friday, where ISA will have a table.
This event is open to the public. Sponsored by the Indian Student Association, Diversity Awareness Office, Office of International Programs and the Office of Student Activities.
