Dr. Gilbert Kalonde is a tenure track Assistant Professor for Technology Education in the department of education. Dr. Kalonde has taught several undergraduate courses in Workforce Education and Development and through these courses academically interacted with serving and retired military servicemen and women.

Dr. Kalonde’s research interests are in the use of technology in teacher education, Technology Integration for Inclusion in School –K-12, Technology Integration for Inclusion in teacher education, educational technology and technology education. His dissertation was on teacher educators’ technology decisions and the extent to which they model technologies for inclusive classrooms in teaching method courses.
Dr. Kalonde completed his Ph.D. in 2014 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on Instructional Design and Technology and immediately joined MSU. Dr. Kalonde has over 20 years of high school teaching and corporate Human Resources Management experience.
