My career has been a blend of writing and teaching. I started writing as a journalist in college and found my way into education after working as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Georgia where I taught middle and high school students. I have a master's degree from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and have been teaching graduate and undergraduate non-native speakers of English for seven years. I taught at the University of Denver for four years before deciding it was time to move back to Bozeman, which is home. I'm happy to be teaching at MSU and working as a graduate tutor and ESL specialist at the Writing Center.
