Welcome to MSU

Our MSU Friday visit program will be offered during the current upcoming academic year on October 16, 2015, January 29, 2016, March 11, 2016 and April 8, 2016. The program is free and open to all prospective students and families. MSU Friday is an all-day, on-campus program which offers an in-depth preview of college life at Montana State University. Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and students, explore academic facilities, tour the campus, and investigate possibilities for financial aid and scholarships.

Make plans to join us for one of these exciting programs! Just complete the registration form and submit it. After you register, we will email you a confirmation including check-in time and location, directions and a hotel list. This information can also be found on the links above. *MSU Friday information sessions traditionally present on student departments and services, including Activities and Engagement, Gallatin College, National Student Exchange, Pre-Law. Undergraduate Research, Bobcat Athletics, ASMSU, Outdoor Recreation Program, Disability Services, Fraternity and Sorority Life and How to be Successful at MSU.

7:30-9:00 am Check-in (Strand Union Building)
7:30-8:30 am Campus Tours (leaving every 5 minutes)
9:05 am Welcome and Introduction to MSU
10:00-10:30 am Sample Classes - Actual MSU classes taught by some of our outstanding faculty. Check them out!
10:35-11:05 am Sample Classes - Actual MSU classes taught by some of our outstanding faculty. Check them out!
11:10-11:55 am Learn about University Studies, Financial Aid, Career Services and our Residence Halls.
12:00-12:30 pm Information Sessions - Find out about MSU departments and services * (see above)
12:35-1:05 pm Information Sessions - Find out about MSU departments and services * (see above)
1:05-2:00 pm Lunch on your own and Extravaganza - Stop in the Union Market, Avogadro's Deli, the Bobcat Grill or Wild Flour Pizza and Pasta to purchase lunch then check out the Extravaganza to learn more about MSU's great clubs, groups, organizations, and services.
1:15-2:00 pm Honors College
2:10-2:50 pm Explore Academics - Learn about the academic program(s) you are interested in and tour some academic facilities.
3:00 pm Residence Hall Tours
3:00-3:50 pm Student and Parent Panel - MSU student "AdvoCats" will facilitate discussion and answer your questions about student life at MSU.
3:00-3:50 pm Information Sessions - MSU Study Abroad programs OR take a campus tour if you missed one in the morning.
3:30 pm Residence Hall Tours
4:00 pm Residence Hall Tours
4:00-5:00 pm Choose one of the following facility tours: Heath & PE Complex, Residence Halls, Museum of the Rockies, MSU Library, Fraternity/Sorority Housing, and several academic facilities.

From the west:

Take I-90 exit 305 onto North 19th Avenue and follow it south to Kagy Boulevard. Turn left onto Kagy Blvd and continue to the parking lot on the right, on the west side of the Stadium.

From the east:

Take I-90 exit 309 onto Main Street, proceed west to Willson Avenue, turn left and travel 18 blocks to Kagy Boulevard. Turn right and continue to the parking lot on the left, on the west side of the Stadium.

Once you are here, a detailed campus map will help you find your way around. Allow 10 minutes to park and walk to the Strand Union Building.
