27 workshop participants have provided feedback about the TEAMS workshop they attended.

The most important thing I learned was...

  • Applications of engineering to take directly to my classroom
  • How easy it will be to incorporate engineering into my math and science curriculums
  • The curiosity, energy, and affability of the leading staff and engineering professors at MSU—phenomenal!
  • That engineering is not “scary” and how relevant it is to everyday life.  I think this will really help in making math more relevant and applicable for students
  • Engineering is cool!  What I really learned is that engineering is “approachable”; it is something I can incorporate into my classroom!

What surprised me most about what I learned was...

  • The curiosity, energy, and affability of the leading staff and engineering professors at MSU—phenomenal!
  • The variety of things engineers do—the 14 Grand Challenges.  I want to find a way to share these and inspire students to pursue these challenges.
  • How few people applied for TEAMS. It was great!
