As a branch of Montana State University's Extension, our mission is to "Disseminate and encourage individuals, families and communities in order to improve and strengthen Montana's families and communities."

As part of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Economics, our goal is to dedicate to the development of human capital through education and research, by improving private and public decision making.

Our internal goal is to keep the public informed about their economic rights, responsibilities and opportunities within the state of Montana.
