Overview
Modern Languages & Literatures offers B.A. Degrees in French, Spanish, and German Studies with options in Teaching and Commerce. Teaching and Non-Teaching Minors in French, German, and Spanish are also offered.
The Department, in conjunction with the Department of History & Philosophy, offers both a minor in Japan Studies and a Japan Studies option. For more information, see the Japan Studies page.
We are pleased to announce the new Latin American and Latino Studies Minor, a joint program with the Department of History and Philosophy.
Latest News and Events
The German Film Series continues April 9th with a doubel feature - the free screening of Rolf Schübel's 2003 feature "Blueprint," starring Franka Potente (Run Lola Run), followed by an encore presentation of Andreas Dresen's 2005 "Summer in Berlin." The films start at 6:00 PM in VCB 182 (Visual Communications Building). A complete schedule of films can be found here.
We are pleased to offer new international TV channels. Students now have access to TV Japan, TV5 (French), German Kino Plus, Deutsche Welle TV (German), and ProSiebenSat1Welt (German). These channels can be watched in Reid 330.
