There are at least five themes in the symphony that has been Eric Funk’s life, and the MSU music instructor will discuss them at MSU’s next installment of the Provost’s Distinguished Lecturer Series lecture set for 7 p.m. in the Reynolds Recital Hall. Read more

Glacier superintendent speaks Oct. 15 at next MSU Western Lands and Peoples lecture

Jeff Mow will present "Glacier National Park: Challenges and Opportunities during Uncertain Times" at 6 p.m. in the Museum of the Rockies' Hager Auditorium. Mow's lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be followed by a reception in the museum's lobby. Read more

MSU sets staged reading of play ‘Actually’ Oct. 10-13

MSU's School of Film and Photography tackles the timely and highly charged topic of sexual consent in a staged reading of Anna Ziegler’s play “Actually” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10-13 in the Black Box Theater. Read more

MSU faculty member awarded $1 million grant to research tree chemistry in bark beetle battle

Amy Trowbridge, assistant professor in the Department of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences in MSU’s College of Agriculture, received a $1 million National Science Foundation grant aimed at investigating the mechanisms of tree death in pinyon pine forests in order to gauge the susceptibility of trees before bark beetle devastation occurs.
