Students in this program will have first-hand experiences working on projects with researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.This unique degree will truly catalyze your personal and professional growth.

One-on-one coaching

Our Bracken Business Communications Clinic (BBCC) provides one-on-one coaching with students to improve writing, speaking, interviewing, and oral presentation skills.

Venture coaching

MSU's Blackstone LaunchPad provides free venture support and mentorship and coaches students, faculty, staff, and alumni to compete in startup and venture competitions.

Hands-On Learning

Students expand their skill sets through first-hand experiences working on projects with researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and government programming.

Application requirements and deadlines

Application requirements

Applicants will be required to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
GRE/GMAT scores are NOT required.
TOEFL scores of 92 or higher will be required for International students. The equivalent score for the IELTS (6.5) or Pearson/PTE (62-63) is also acceptable.
500-1,000 word essay on your motivations for entering the program
Two professional references (to provide letters of recommendations)
Students will be interviewed either in person or virtually

Q. Are there pre-requisites for students who don't have a business background?

A. There are no required pre-requisite courses for our MSIM degree program.

Q. How many students will be accepted into the program?

A. The fall 2024 class cohort is capped at 35.

Q. Can I participate in this part-time?

A. With the current cohort model, students are expected to participate as full-time students.

Q. Is the program only in-person? Is there an online option?

A. This intensive program is currently only offered in-person (in Jabs Hall).
