Our Strengths

Growing

In 2015, we opened Jabs Hall, a state-of-the-art LEED Gold building designed to promote collaborative learning and foster innovation and creativity. We boast two fireplaces, flexible classroom spaces, writeable glass walls, and a focus group room.

Experiential

Students participate in a Design Thinking Workshop in Jabs Hall

Students expand their skill sets through first-hand experiences working on projects with researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and government programming. Gain valuable experiences alongside our knowledgeable and caring professors.

Connected

Students connect with employers at one of three college recruiter events

Even though we are located in a rural state, we bring in entrepreneurs, business executives, and non-profit leaders. We prepare our students for careers after graduation with local companies and family businesses to industry giants like Nike, Google, Boeing, and R/GA.

Career Prep

Spring 2020 Meet the Recruiters Fair in Jabs Hall

We also host three college career fairs during the academic year, one of which is solely dedicated to accounting-related jobs. We generally have between 25-60 employers from across the nation that attend each event, representing companies like Deloitte, FDIC, Kiewit, KPMG, Northwestern Mutual, WealthVest, and Zoot Enterprises.

Professionalism

We host a day-long professionalism workshop for our graduate accounting students and connect students to MSU events including the Etiquette Dinner, Executive's Closet, and various workshops.

Innovation

Students learn from the Senior Director of Strategy and Insights of Kickstarter
