Who We Are
GATHER, which stands for Gathering All Together Honoring Every Race, is a network for faculty and staff from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups that provides opportunities to develop a sense of community, access mentoring and professional development, intentionally build support, and exchange ideas. All faculty and staff are welcome, regardless of identity.

Professor and Head of the Mechanical and IndustrialEngineering Department
My research is focused on thebiobased polymeric composites, nanoscale material synthesis and characterization, and value addition to agricultural byproducts. Hobbiesinclude hiking, travelling and listening to music. I enjoy living inBozeman.

Huyen Bui
Assistant research professor at the Center forBiofilm Engineering
I was born and raised in Vietnam. My expertise is in molecular biology, genetics and bioinformatics. Specifically, I amstudying the algal microbiome with the aim of improving algal cultivation for biofuel production. When not working, I enjoygardening, baking, and hiking.
