Sack Lunch Seminar: Dr. Mayra del Carmen

Mayra A del Carmen is a professor in the MSU Department of Psychology. Her research is concerned with how experiences of mistreatment at work relate to physical and mental health – specifically among Latinx populations in the U.S. In this presentation she will share some insights she has gleaned about the Latinx population in Gallatin Valley, and some plans for future research and interventions based on those insights.
Abriendo Puertas: Hispanic Heritage Month with Isabel Allende

Bilingual Game Night

Join English Para Todos and the MSU Spanish Club for a bilingual game night. English learner students will lead participants in learning traditional games from Central and Latin America, creating an engaging and interactive language exchange for all. Fiesta de Sabores (Flavor Fiesta)

Join Fuerza Latinx and the First-Generation Students Association for a night of cultural recognition to mark the end of Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM). We will be serving three authentic dishes to generally represent the different countries recognized during HHM and the meaning of food within Hispanic cultures. We encourage you to attend and enjoy delicious food, quality discussion, and hear genuine stories from our student panel.

Volunteer at English Para Todos
English Para Todos is a local organization in Bozeman, Montana, that provides programs and classes for the Spanish-speaking community in Gallatin County. This is an excellent opportunity to volunteer and engage with members of the local Hispanic and Latinx community! Volunteer roles range from conversation practice to classroom support, behind the scenes support, and many other ways to get involved and support English learners in the community.
