Situation #6 Maternal Grandparents Descedents
Example: Survivors are bloodline maternal cousins
Assume you pass away without a written will. Your only survivors are the descendants of your maternal grandparents and descendants of your paternal grandparents.
One half passes to your paternal descendants by right of representation. The other half passes to your maternal descendants by right of representation.
Your maternal grandparents weren't living at the time of your death. Your aunt also passed away before you. Her two children (your cousins) split the 1/2 that your aunt would have received if she had survived you. The uncle does not inherit because he is not a bloodline relative of your maternal grandparent.

If this is not the division you desire, then you need to write a will.
