Cascade County 4-H Ambassador Update
Hi everyone, the county Ambassadors have been diligently working to try and make this
year’s 4-H fun. National 4-H Week went great. There was an abundance of clothes donated,
and we loved seeing everyone’s projects. Congratulations to everyone that went to
Achievement Night. The Ambassadors planned Achievement Night, and it was a lot of
fun. Thank you to everyone that came. The following weekend, the team went to Fall
Leadership Training where we got to work with other people from different counties
and our state ambassador team. It was so much fun. We stayed in Great Falls and visited
the Great Falls College campus, where we had multiple fun workshops. October 25 is
New Family Orientation, and we hope to see a lot of new people.
Tuesday, October 4th’s Ambassador meeting started at 6:16pm, everyone was in attendance.
We immediately jumped into planning the next few Cloverbud meetings. The next meeting
will be November 5, Seth, Victoria, and Kyona will be running the meeting. We also
planned our Christmas meeting. We then started talking about our service project and
we are going to gather hygiene products for the Rescue Mission during December. The
club that gathers the most products will get a pizza party. Our other service project
will be done in the spring. Victoria will be running our social media for the project.
As a group we also talked about when we go visit clubs, doing a book caravan, and
helping the clubs. After that we talked about prizes at Achievement Night, and Kyona
was making a slideshow. We talked about when to be there and a group activity to do.
We then talked about Fall Training and how to sign up. We also talked about New Family
Orientation. The potluck will start at 5:30. Emilia then talked about the Foundation
meeting, and we talked about clubs sending their members to the Leaders Council meetings
also. They are on WebEx. The Ambassador meetings will be the first Tuesday of every
month at 6:15. We also talked about Leadership Academy and the first meeting is November
20th. We adjourned the meeting at 7.

MSU Extension Internship Opportunities
Do you know a college student that would benefit from a summer long internship with MSU Extension? MSU Extension has multiple internship opportunities for youth interested in careers in agriculture, horticulture, family and consumer sciences, and youth development. Interns will gain professional experience utilizing nonformal education strategies by partnering with Extension agents to plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for adults and youth in field offices. Interns work in county or reservation Extension offices under the direction of one or more Extension agents. Upon completion of an internship the student will understand the nature and responsibilities of being an MSU Extension agent. Available counties for this year are Fallon-Carter Counties, Lewis and Clark County, and Yellowstone County. The application can be found at Online Survey Software | Qualtrics Survey Solutions and is due by November 18, 2022.
Montana 4-H Leadership Academy
Join the Montana 4-H Leadership Academy workshop on Sunday afternoons in 2022/2023. The leadership academy is a network of Montana 4-H members interested in exploring and developing their own leadership skills while serving their county 4-H program in new ways. Each month the Montana 4-H Ambassador officer team members will be presenting a different workshop topic that they have found to be important as they have grown their own leadership abilities. This workshop should be paired with a local county leadership meeting to work on county projects that serve the local 4-H program and community.
Cascade County 4-H Ambassadors will be holding in person watch parties at the Extension
office from 2:30-4:00. Snacks are provided! We will not be meeting in person on November
20 due to scheduling conflicts. If you would like to join the Zoom meeting with the State Ambassadors, email Allyssa
at [email protected] for the link.
