HELLO SUMMER - from the Extension Office

The Hill County Extension Office staff hopes you are all enjoying your Spring and looking forward to a great Summer.

With summer upon us and area schools winding down for the Summer break, you are all encouraged to continue working on your 4-H projects.

The 2025 Great Northern Fair will be here before we know it.  Family Fair Packets have been picked up by the 4-H club organizational leaders.  If you have not received your packet, make connection with your organizational leader to pick it up.  Your Fair Packet contains tons of Fair information and can answer a lot of questions for you.

The 2025 Fair Book was emailed out in February and also again on May 6th.  Only use the 2025 Fair Book to help you with your 4-H Fair entries.  If you need to look at a hard copy, we do have one copy at the Extension office that you can come in and look at.  The 2025 Fair Book is also available in Zsuite under “Shared Files”.  It is very important that you read your project information very carefully and follow the guidelines therein.

Fair Entry is open and you can enter your fair entries until June 18th.  If you have any questions on entries, please call or email the Extension office.

We have several meetings and workshops scheduled for the month of June — check the dates and mark your calendars to ensure your attendance at these important meetings/events.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call, email or stop by the Extension office.

Happy summer!!

4-H BRAND RESOURCES

The 4-H brand tells the world who we are and has a great impact when used correctly.  The 4-H brand uses a precise 4-H clover in a certain color.  Specifics on approved logos and colors can be found at www.montana4h.org/resources/4-H_brand.html.  If you are making a flyer and need logos or clip art sent to you, we are happy to do that.  Call the Extension office to make that request.

s 4-H Emblem

The national 4-H emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter "H" on each leaf, denoting Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The four-leaf clover signifies "Good Luck."

Head, Heart, Hands and Health represent the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs.

4-H Colors - Green and White

Green is nature's most common color and is emblematic of springtime, life and youth. White symbolizes purity and high ideals.

4-H Motto

To Make the Best Better

4-H Pledge

I pledge...
my Head to clearer thinking,
my Heart to greater loyalty,
my Hands to larger service, and
my Health to better living.
For my club, my community, my country and my world.
