Municipal Summits

The MSU LGC, the Montana League of Cities and Towns (MLCT), and the Montana Municipal Interlocal Authority (MMIA) work together to provide education and networking opportunities around the state of Montana for Municipal Employees and Elected Officials! Topics may encompass legislative information, safety, human resources, MMIA coverages, good governance, open meetings, citizens right to participate, municipal support, and more!

County Elected Officials Training

Each December, the MSU Local Government Center works with the Montana Association of Counties (MACo) to offer the Montana County Elected Officials training in Helena, MT. The training is based on a two-year curriculum designed to prepare newly elected county officials to meet their responsibilities and effectively serve their counties.

Online Courses

The MSU LGC offers webinars on a variety of subjects. These webinars are often half an hour to two hours. Many of our webinars are accompanied by the slides from which the presenter gave the talk, along with a quiz to test the participant's knowledge of the material.
