Chaofu Lu moved for endorsement, Lelisa Sterman seconded. 25 for, 0 against, 2 abstentions, motion passes.

VI.   MS-Counseling program option name change. (Chair Babcock)

“Marriage and Family Counseling” to “Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling” Old: Marriage and Family Counselling

New: Marriage, Couple and Family Counselling

Change reflects 2015 accreditation team suggested name change to be consistent with the accrediting body – Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Tomas Gedeon moved to suspend rules to vote on proposal, Robb Larson seconded. Approved. Leila Sterman moved for approval, Ed Dunbar seconded. Approved.

Senators asked questions regarding the goals and plans of the committee Faculty senate will revisit as progress is made
