Welcome back, GEAR UP students! The Spring 2024 semester begins on Wednesday, January 17th, and we are excited to see you again after what we hope was a restful and enjoyable winter break. Be sure to visit the GEAR UP office for support and services to help you have a successful semester: Textbook Borrowing Program Free school supplies Free Smarty Cats Tutoring One-on-one support Snacks, drinks, free printing Additionally, GEAR UP works closely with the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success to provide success advising, career coaching, and financial education. Visit us in the GEAR UP office on the 2nd floor of the MSU Library!

Book Borrowing Program!

GEAR UP first-year students are eligible to borrow books for the semester. Textbooks and materials of approximately $200 in value per student is available. Come by the GEAR UP office or request books online at www.montana.edu/gearup/gearup-book-borrowing-program Deadline to request textbooks for Spring 2024 is Friday, January 26th.

2024-2025 FAFSA

MSU’s Office of Financial Aid Services will be helping GEAR UP and TRIO students with their 2024-2025 FAFSA completion. Bring your laptop if you have one, or computers will be available if needed. Dates: Tuesday, January 23rd outside the GEAR UP office on the 2nd floor of the MSU Library; and Wednesday, January 24th in ABB 234. Both days are anytime between 1:30-4:00 pm. January Breakfast Dates

Each week during the semester, TRIO SSS hosts breakfast for all TRIO and GEAR UP students. All breakfast are from 8:00 am - 11:00 am in Reid 314. January dates are: Wednesday, January 17th Tuesday, January 23rd Wednesday, January 31st.

The Involvement Fair and Study Abroad Fair offers a one stop shop for all MSU students, faculty, and staff to engage their local and global community!
