  • Call to Order
    Provost Martha Potvin
    • Provost Martha Potvin called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM.
  • Approval of Minutes for January 14th, 2015
    • Terry Leist moved to approve the minutes for February 4th, 2015, and Susan Wolff seconded the motion. The minutes were approved unanimously.
  • University Wide Information/ Announcements
    • Provost Potvin thanked Chancellor Greg Kegel for bringing Ginger Doodles to the meeting. They are a specialty of the chef at MSU Northern and the recipe is available on the back of MSUN's Chancellor's Report, which was handed out during the meeting.
  • Old Items
    • Student Conduct Code (Comment period will be extended until March 1st, and vote on the adoption of the policy will take place at the March University Council Meeting)

      • Leslie Taylor explained that there were many comments made to the Student Conduct Code policy, thus it will be posted for an additional month for students to continue to comment. It will be voted on at the March 4th meeting.

    • Strategic Plan: Discovery
      Chris Fastnow, Director, Office of Planning & Analysis
      • Chris Fastnow provided an update on the Discovery section of MSU's Strategic Plan. Chris spoke to a chart of a data illustrating the progress.
  • Updates
    • Members of University Council provided brief updates about their departments.
