PORTAL NOW OPEN FOR USP PROGRAMS!First Year Research Experience (FYRE)Portal closes Sunday, September 10th|| USP Application Portal FYRE is an innovative program designed to connect first year & second year students with hands-on research experiences. All currently enrolled MSU undergraduate students in good academic standing are eligible to apply. Faculty members must apply on behalf of the student, and the research must focus on U.S. labor market regulation and/or policy (broadly defined). New this year is $500 per semester to support faculty mentors of IRAEA undergraduate research scholars. USP is hiring a work student assistant to help with web editing, administrative tasks and marketing. Start date is flexible within the range of August 1, 2023 – September 15, 2023. If you or someone you know might be interested, please send a message to [email protected]. 12th Annual MSU Freshman Research Symposium - September 23 and October 21Freshman Research Symposium Application - Apply by September 1 This fall, the 12th annual MSU Freshman Research Symposium (1credit HONR 131) will return as an in-person event on September 23rd and October 21st, welcoming one of our largest incoming Honors classes, along with dual-enrolled high school students. This symposium will provide a focused and interactive forum to introduce highly motivated students to the exciting fields and opportunities for undergraduate research at MSU. The symposium will provide a comprehensive overview of the broad spectrum of research activity at MSU, with over 40 TED-style presentations over two Saturdays in October. NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH (NCUR)Portal opens September 15, 2023|| Apply Here|| Conference takes place April 8-10, 2024 (Long Beach, CA) The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is an annual conference dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study.
