IRAEA is once again funding Undergraduate Research Scholarships for MSU students this
fall and academic year. All currently enrolled MSU undergraduate students in good
academic standing are eligible to apply. Faculty members must apply on behalf of the
student, and the research must focus on U.S. labor market regulation and/or policy (broadly defined).
New this year is $500 per semester to support faculty mentors of IRAEA undergraduate
research scholars.

12th Annual MSU Freshman Research Symposium - September 23 and October 21
Freshman Research Symposium Application - Apply by September 1
This fall, the 12th annual MSU Freshman Research Symposium (1credit HONR 131) will
return as an in-person event on September 23rd and October 21st, welcoming one of our largest incoming Honors classes, along with dual-enrolled high
school students. This symposium will provide a focused and interactive forum to introduce
highly motivated students to the exciting fields and opportunities for undergraduate
research at MSU. The symposium will provide a comprehensive overview of the broad
spectrum of research activity at MSU, with over 40 TED-style presentations over two
Saturdays in October. Students will be registered for HONR 131 and are required to
attend both sessions.

MSU is part of the Montana University System enhanced membership option
CUR Membership is designed to assist faculty, administrators, researchers, staff, and students in
their efforts to support undergraduate research on their campuses and beyond. Visit
