Writing In Engineering Faculty Fellows
In 2021, the Writing Center received a generous endowment given by Ann Jackson and Ken Wilson to continue advancing Writing Across MSU by integrating writing throughout the curriculum, particularly in STEM. The funding they have provided will allow us to continue developing programs to support students and faculty in the teaching and learning of writing. We are so grateful for this gift.
With this generous funding, we created an advanced faculty learning community of recipients from past Integrating Writing into STEM Grants: the Writing in Engineering Faculty Fellows. This group of faculty meet monthly to talk about writing across Engineering, to learn about teaching writing in engineering through readings and conversations, and work with the Writing Center to foster and develop writing support for engineering students. Ultimately, the Fellows will form a learning community focused on the teaching and mentoring of writing in STEM across MSU. For the dedicated time and effort, all fellows will receive a $5000 stipend.
As we learn together, we are collaborating on both research and resources. Be looking for Faculty Fellows workshops coming soon!
Congratulations to this year’s Writing in Engineering Faculty Fellows!
