As we prepare for the 2011-2012 academic year, we are pleased to introduce the inaugural issue of the Bobcat Gear Gazette. Our goal with this newsletter is twofold: first, we want to develop better communication and stronger relationships with our retailers; and second, we want to foster connections between licensees, retailers and fans to continue to increase sales and availability of MSU and Bobcat gear across the state. To that end, we plan to send three newsletters per year—summer, fall and spring—that will provide information about sales, promotions, merchandise and upcoming events.
This fall we look forward to unveiling the newly enhanced Bobcat stadium. Season tickets for the new seats in the South end zone have already sold out, and Bobcat fans are eager for football season to kick off. This is a great opportunity to encourage our fans to wear their pride and drive retail sales.

Sales Status
2010 was a banner year for Bobcat merchandise. Sales were up 17% over 2009, and MSU cracked the top 75 schools in the Collegiate Licensing Company's ranking of top merchandise sales schools. Now is a great time to carry Bobcat gear!
Promotions
Blue & Gold Fridays
MSU's Blue & Gold Friday campaign is an ongoing effort that encourages all Bobcat fans to wear Blue & Gold every Friday. Please help us get the word out to Bobcat fans in your area, Blue & Gold Friday promotional posters are available, so please contact us if you would like one to display.
College Colors Day
September 2 is College Colors Day and a great way to kick off the football season with Blue & Gold displays. The nationwide promotion celebrates the back to school season and kickoff of college football. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity. |  |
Athletic Update
Montana State sophomore quarterback DeNarius McGhee is among the 20 names appearing on the preseason Walter Payton award watch list. The Payton is awarded to the top offensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision each year.
The Payton Award will be presented to the FCS' outstanding player at the national awards banquet Thursday, Jan. 5 in Frisco, Texas.
