Caring For Our Own: A Reservation/University Partnership

Welcome

The name of our program is "Caring for Our Own: A Reservation/University Partnership." We call it the CO-OP program to emphasize the partnership of university nursing educators with tribal leaders, reservation-based educators and native health professionals, many of whom are graduates of MSU in clinical practice and health care administration on the reservations. We are looking for students who would like to provide the very best health care available to their own people and are willing to pursue university-level education in order to do so. We do have financial assistance available but the main benefits of the program are expert, culturally-sensitive advising, academic assistance, and assistance with social and financial aid services available from MSU-Bozeman. The project staff includes American Indians and is dedicated to helping Native American Indian nursing students achieve success from start to finish.
