Dr. Benjamin Oosterhoff

Dr. Benjamin Oosterhoff is the director of the Montana Positive Youth Development (PYD) Lab. Dr. Oosterhoff joined the MSU faculty as an Assistant Professor in Psychology in 2018. Prior to coming to MSU, Dr. Oosterhoff completed his doctoral training in Life-Span Developmental Psychology at West Virginia University in 2015, and a postdoctoral fellowship in the Trauma and Grief (TAG) Center for Youth at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. In 2017, he became an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Section of the Pediatric Department at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Oosterhoff has received numerous awards and grants for his research from organizations including the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
