What is it?

The COPE News System works hand-in-hand with the Content Management System (CMS), allowing you to include news articles on your web page or digital sign. You have the option of creating your own departmental news, or using MSU News, the official, University-level news service for Montana State University, with content created by writers and photographers in University Communications.

How do I use it?

You can display a list of MSU News articles on your web page or digital sign by topic, college, department or any combination thereof. This is called a news feed. The example news feed on the right is populated with the five most recent articles associated with the College of Letters and Science.

The amount of articles shown can be adjusted, a search box and pagination can be turned on if your pool of articles is large and we can customize the display template.

You may also request access to the news system on behalf of yourself, your department, your unit or your college. This will allow you to use the system to create your own news to mix in and display with University Communications news on your web page.

If you'd like to discuss these options or get help implementing one, please fill out a support ticket and we will be in touch shortly.
