Spirit of the West
Welcome to the "Spirit of the West" Marching Band at Montana State University! We can be seen and heard at all home Bobcat football games as well as dozens of other events around campus and in our community. We are pleased to offer unique performances featuring lively and entertaining music, choreography, and field drill in support of Bobcat spirit.
New for 2015
Our halftime performance is based on the day in a life of a dragon. While we weren't thinking of any dragon in particular, audiences will enjoy seeing our dragon playing games with sheep and battling a human challenger. The music is from Game of Thrones, How to Train Your Dragon, and "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce.
We are also celebrating the largest marching band in the history of MSU. With over 185 members, we are now big enough to write "MSU Bobcats" in block letters on the field. See us perform at pre game and halftime.
