Course Description

College Writing I is MSU's core writing class and is designed to help students read and write critically and prepare them for success as college writers. Writing is a collaborative process and this course fosters meaningful relationships between students and the instructor via shared writing, discussions, and feedback. Get a head start on your writing experiences at MSU through a focus on analysis, research, argumentation, and revision: all key components of a strong and confident writer. The course will consist of asynchronous writing assignments, peer feedback, and content videos along with a synchronous (live) weekly meeting with the instructor and other classmates to address questions and provide additional content.
