“...A Reward to Itself.” Fly Fishing the Northern Rockies with Simms Fishing Products, featuring Bitter Root Brewery
Based on our popular summertime Hops & History program, this new winter series pairs the history of local industries – presented by MOR Curator of History, Michael Fox – with beer tastings from local breweries. In his 1653 book The Compleat Angler, British pioneer fly fisherman Izaak Walton wrote “He that hopes to be a good Angler must not only bring an inquiring, searching, observing wit, but he must bring a large measure of hope and patience.” We will explore the history of fly fishing in Big Sky country, enjoy some regional refreshments and talk about the future of the sport with local experts.
Space is limited. Tickets are required for all events at museumoftherockies.org.
$8 admission, includes a free glass and beer tasting, must be 21 and older
