Hops & History: Local Beer, Free History
Last Tuesday of every summer month
Living History Farm | 21 and older
Hops have been an important ingredient in beer for centuries and today they are perhaps more popular than ever before. Whether adding a floral punch or preserving beer itself, hops are a key ingredient for Montana beers. Until recently, hops were not grown on a commercial scale in our state. Join Tom Britz of Whitefish to learn how Glacier Hops Ranch is bringing hops production back to Big Sky Country!
Every month during the summer season, Hops & History brings a lively audience of adults to the Farm by pairing the Gallatin Valley’s brewing past – presented by MOR Curator of History, Michael Fox – with beer tastings from local breweries. New for 2016, MOR will welcome co-speakers for each presentation, exploring unique historical topics to complement equally unique local brews. Sponsored by Montana Ale Works and Side Car Bar Service.
This is not a family event, adults only please!
$7 admission plus $3 mug charge for each participant’s first event, reuse your mug each month!
