Ronald Omyonga is an architect and co-founder of a digital platform called iBUILD, which provides international affordable housing support, including access to certified architects, building material suppliers and construction financing.
Omyonga was central to establishing the Khwisero, Kenya partnership with MSU's Engineers Without Borders. He is visiting MSU as part of a group of 10 of MSU-EWB's Kenyan collaborators for discussion about the partnership's next steps.
During the past 13 years, MSU-EWB has drilled 13 wells, installed a water distribution pipeline, constructed two rainwater catchment systems and built 16 latrines. The wells and other water projects have made clean water and sanitation accessible to tens of thousands of school children and community members in the Khwisero region. Hundreds of MSU students have gained real-world engineering and international experience in the process.
