CONFERENCE DETAILS:This year’s conference will feature a pre-conference session by FBI Task Force Officer Peter Wickham and FBI Intelligence Analyst Jeffrey Horton. This half-day session will review the 2016 Ohio State University attack and discuss lessons learned from the incident. The main conference will open with a presentation and panel discussion with Montana State University’s Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT). Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security will discuss critical infrastructure protection. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Radiological Security will present on their Global Material Security Alarm Response Training Program. Montana Division of Criminal Investigation will discuss cybersecurity with law enforcement in a closed session while representatives from the Montana Department of Justice IT Division discuss cybersecurity in a non-restricted, open session. On the second day of the main conference the FBI will discuss behavioral analysis and threat identification.WHO SHOULD ATTEND?Threat assessment/behavioral intervention team members, school resource officers, law enforcement, school safety officials, public safety personnel, mental health professionals, event security staff, venue managers, emergency management personnel, risk managers, human resources, legal personnel, school administrators, teachers and anyone else interested in learning more about threat assessment.
