CBE Seminar: Dr. Hideyuki Kanematsu

Dr. Hideyuki Kanematsu is a professor of materials science and engineering at the National Institute of Technology at Suzuka College in Japan. Dr. Kanematsu's areas of interest include biofilm engineering, surface engineering, corrosion, and STEM Education (Active learning by e-learning). He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and a PhD in materials science and engineering, all from Nagoya University. He is an active member, board member, and editorial member of ASM International, National Association for Surface Fishing, the Institute of Metal Finishing, as well as the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society, American Chemical Society, Electrochemical Society, the Japan Institute of Metals, and the Iron & Steel Institute of Japan. Dr. Kanematsu will present “Industrial biofilm detection ways and their application: Biofilm research movement in Japan.”
