MSU will hold: "MSU Faculty Symposium: Inspiring Excellence in Teaching and Learning" on Thursday, Nov. 8, in the SUB Ballrooms.
Sponsored by the MSU Provost's Office, the symposium is free and open to all faculty, staff and graduate students.
The symposium aims to build awareness of best teaching practices, create communities of support around teaching innovation and build bridges between practicing experts and interested faculty, staff and graduate students so strategies can be shared and improved.
The symposium is being designed by MSU faculty as well as deans, the MSU Provost's Office and the MSU Center for Faculty Excellence.
The event will feature some of MSU's most accomplished teachers in interactive talks and panel discussions. The symposium’s preliminary agenda includes presentations and discussions on:
- Teaching Innovation
- Service Learning
- Active Learning
- Teaching with Technology
The symposium will include a lunch and reception. This event is free and open to all faculty, staff and graduate students of MSU.
