Demystifying ERP: Leveraging Technology to Enable Growth, Productivity and Profitability
- Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 9:00am to 2:00pm
- GranTree Inn, Bozeman
Montana State University Academic Technology and Outreach has partnered with the Montana Photonics Industry Alliance (MPIA) to offer a course on how to choose an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solution.
The workshop is Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 9am to 2pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman. Lunch is included.
Recognizing that implementing new enterprise software can be disruptive, costly and time-consuming, this workshop outlines a process that helps manufacturers, managers and IT professionals plan for, select and implement a new ERP software solution.
Topics covered include how to identify whether you’ve outgrown your current system; documenting and prioritizing the critical requirements you’ll need; and how to navigate the competitive landscape and select vendors; as well as tips for committing to a project plan and successfully implementing a new system. Following a detailed process can greatly decrease the headaches of pre-planning and increase the return on investment of a new system.
The instructors are Walter Goodfield and Tom Tobias of RKL eSolutions. Goodfield is executive vice president of RKL eSolutions. He has sold, implemented and supported ERP software for 25 years for industry-leading publishers like Sage, Infor & Aptean. Tobias is vice president of RKL eSolutions. He has consulted and managed on over 100 business systems implementation projects during his 20 years in the software industry.
The course is open to the public; members of MPIA can receive $30 off on registration. For more information or to enroll, visit http://bit.ly/mpia-erp or contact Trent Berg at email@example.com or call MSU Academic Technology and Outreach at (406) 994-6550.
