- Cheever Hall, Dean's Gallery - view map
The Dean's Gallery in Cheever Hall will host an exhibition of selected reproductive engravings after Peter Paul Rubens & Anthony Van Dyck. Reproductive engravings, sometimes designed and crafted centuries after the original painting's creation, form a unique kind of publicity and propaganda for artists, patrons, and connoisseurs. Featuring more than 30 etchings and engravings, the exhibit showcases the remarkable, innovative craft of printmaking after major master works. The exhibition, part of the graduate course Origins of the Modern Art Museum, was curated, designed, and created for the space.
The Dean's Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. Admission is free.
