Dr. Diane Bimczok is an assistant professor in MSU’s Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Diane’s research focus is the regulation of dendritic cell function in the gastrointestinal immune system. She aims to elucidate how interactions between antigen-presenting cells, epithelial cells, and stromal cells shape the gastric immune response to H. pylori infection. Her talk “How gastric epithelial cells control the immune response to H. pylori infection,” will focus on the role of gastric epithelial cells in that immune response.
