Open forum on Grad School dean search

Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to an open forum about the search for the Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice President for Research on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 1:30 pm. to 2:30 pm in SUB Ballroom C.
Bob Mokwa, Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Renee Reijo Pera, Vice President of Research and Economic Development, will discuss the position’s responsibilities, answer questions and take feedback from students, faculty and staff.
The Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice President for Research will provide leadership, management and administration of the Graduate School.
Reporting to the Provost with secondary reporting to the VPRED, this position will lead the Graduate School in terms of recruitment, retention and completion, and will expand graduate education at the master, doctoral and post-doctoral levels. This position will serve as a champion for graduate education, and by reporting to both the Provost and the VPRED, it will ensure the integration of graduate training and research in alignment with university priorities.
