Join Associate Professor Michelle Meade to discuss memory and aging. It is well established that memory changes with age. Importantly, not all of the changes are negative.

In this talk, Dr. Meade will discuss both positive and negative changes in memory across the lifespan and the psychological mechanisms that explain age-related change. Specific topics include the laboratory science of age-related changes in memory, compensatory strategies for memory decline, and optimal cognitive aging in everyday life.
Dr. Michelle Meade is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Montana State University. Michelle received her BA from Grinnell College, her MA and PhD from Washington University in St. Louis, and she completed a Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Illinois. Her research and teaching focus on human memory and how memory is influenced by both individual and social factors. She was recently awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study human memory in Australia.
The MSU Retiree Association Brown Bag seminars are free and open to the public. Feel free to bring your lunch, coffee and water will be provided. We do ask that you please register below in order to plan for seating.
Parking is not available at the MSU Alumni Foundation, so we encourage you to utilize the hourly fee lot in the new parking garage, use your retiree parking permit, walk, bike or purchase a $5 MSU parking permit for the day. Parking spaces in the lot behind the Fieldhouse are usually available with your permit. Daily parking permits may be purchased at MSU Police/Parking Department at the corner of 7th and Kagy.
