- Strand Union Building, 212 - view map
Cristina Marian’s visual narratives draw inspiration from images, memories, conversations and experiences that are both universal and private. Her paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Originally from Romania, Marian lives and works in Bozeman. She is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at Montana State University, where she currently teaches a drawing class, and plans to teach a painting class this summer.
Tactile Time is a 3D drawing intervention that speaks about materialized time. Time, as a marker of our humanity, interests the artists and inspired this body of work. This installation was created as a response to the Exit Gallery space, it enabled the artist to illustrate a concrete vision of the abstract illusion that time represents. Here, time is presented as a memory trace or a horizon line.
The exhibit will be open February 25 – March 15.
The reception for the exhibit will be held on March 14, from 4-6pm.
The Exit Gallery is open every Monday-Friday from 10am – 6pm.
