Else Trygstad-Burke of Raison D’être Dance Project and Intermountain Opera Bozeman will be joined by musicians and dancers from the Raison D'être Dance Project for an interdisciplinary presentation on artistic culture in the court of the Louis XIV. The talk will explore the connections between dance, music, painting, and sculpture in the French court of the period. Attendees will experience ballet steps and music that emerged from Louis XIV's reign and gain a new perspective on the king who used ballet and art for political control.
