PD&T Workshop - “Life is a Story”
- Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
- Strand Union Building, 235 - view map
Overview: We all recognize that no one will live forever but talking about grief and loss associated with a death is often socially unacceptable. What should we say, and not say, to our neighbor or coworker after a death? Why does our cousin continue to post pictures of her dog, which was put down recently, on Facebook? This workshop will present information to help us understand that grief and loss are universal human experiences.
Why should you Attend: We will discuss how to support others during times of grief and loss and in turn we may be better equipped to provide support to grieving individuals and families. This session may even provide confidence so that we may contribute meaning to someone else’s life story.
Areas Covered in the Session:
- Dealing with grief
- How to communicate during grief
Who Will Benefit:
- Everyone, especially those wanting to better support others who are grieving
- Terry Bishop
