Journalists and academics: working together to reach the public

Todd Miller is an investigative journalist whose work has appeared in New York Times, TomDispatch, The Nation, San Francisco Chronicle, In These Times, Salon, Guernica and Al Jazeera English, among other places. His third and latest book Empire of Borders: The Expansion of the U.S. Border Around the World takes a hard look at U.S. border security and its implications for a changing world. During this luncheon, Todd will talk about how scientists and other academics can more effectively talk to and work with journalists to convey their research and associated societal impacts.
