New Group Exercise (GX) classes at the Hosaeus Fitness Center
Group Exercise (GX) at the Hosaeus Fitness Center will be rolling out two new classes this semester to round out our extensive offerings:
GX-30 for the Trail, Mondays, 11:30 am -12 pm
This class will help build endurance for trail-related activities by working on improving strength in all of the major muscle groups. Stimulating the ups and downs of actual trails, step-up and step-down exercises will be integral to the workout. Included in HFC or GX membership or $5/class
Taught by veteran GX instructor Sue Clack. She is a full-time employee of the MSU College of Nursing, has a Master’s Degree in Health Exercise and Wellness, and has been teaching GX classes for 8 years. Most importantly (in her opinion), Sue has spent the last 25 years hiking and backpacking the region, racking up “miles of smiles” in the backcountry of Montana.
Cross Fire for the Slopes, Tuesdays, 4:30 – 5:20 pm
This class will be beneficial to all patrons & levels while also putting specific focus on movements that enhance ski & snowboard conditioning. Class is taught by ski enthusiast & Certified Trainer Rebekah Horn. Included in HFC or GX membership or $5/class
All GX classes that we offer can be modified to fit any fitness level under the instruction of our certified instructors. Classes are free January 13-18, 2020. Please see our full schedule of classes at: montana.edu/getfit.
