Sack Lunch Seminar: The Intersectionality of Human Trafficking and Identity

When:

Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Where:

Strand Union Building, 168 - view map

Description:

In this presentation, student leaders of the HEART Initiative at MSU, Alena Haugo and Tessa Sawyer, hope to demonstrate how systems of power intersect with human trafficking through the targeting of vulnerable populations.  Race, gender, ethnicity, age, and disability statuses of those impacted all factor in to the success of the trafficking industry and the exploitation of millions of humans.
