"Pop-Up" musical performance at Asbjornson Hall, 12:50PM on Friday, Sept. 18

From time to time, selected musical soloists and small ensembles will "pop-up" in Norm Asbjornson Hall for a brief, free, and informal performance during the gap between morning and afternoon classes. The next performance will be Friday, September 18, 2020, 12:50-13:10PM, in the outdoor area northeast of Asbjornson Hall (7th and Grant), featuring MSU Music Professor Sarah Stoneback and the 11th Avenue Brass Quintet. The event is free and open to the public.
The musical selections will include: Scherzo (c. 1960) by John Cheetham (b. 1939) Libertango (1974) by Astor Piazzolla (1921 - 1992) Arr. by Josef Burgstaller Quintet (2001) by Michael Kamen (1948-2003) When the Saints Go Marching In - New Orleans Style (by Louis Armstrong) The student performers are: Tanner Rubino, trumpet Cole Orelup, trumpet Elizabeth Skjelver, horn Gunter Roylance, trombone Noah Zeigler, bass trombone Jake Kittelson, Tuba.
