Picture a Scientist, an award winning documentary, chronicles the groundswell of women scientists who are changing the face of science in the United States and around the world. The film combines poignant, firsthand recollections of sexist and racist treatment with indisputable current data, and points out the collective cost of sexism within science.
The film Picture a Scientist will be available for screening October 22-28, followed by a panel event at 6:00 p.m. MDT on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Corrie Moreau, Entomologist and Cornell professor. Dr. Moreau will be joined by several MSU community members to discuss the film, the role of women in STEM, and the collective cost of sexism and racism in the sciences.
