Webinar - Diversity Workshop: DIV120 Implicit Bias & Microaggressions
- Monday, November 9, 2020 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Overview: In this course, participants will gain an understanding of the cycle of oppression, implicit bias and microaggressions. Attendees will also identify areas of personal bias and reflect on how these may get enacted through microaggressions; and will learn some skills for responding to microaggressions.
Why should you Attend: This workshop provides further opportunity for development of cultural humility through critical self-reflection as it relates to increasing awareness of personal unconscious bias and enactments of this through microaggressions. The aim is to enhance people’s awareness of inadvertent ways they may be communicating that get in the way of connecting with others specifically as it relates to diversity as well as starting to develop skills for how to respond and repair when these cultural ruptures occur.
