CBE Virtual Seminar: BRaID: A tool to manage images and data for your biofilm experiment
- Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4:10pm to 5:00pm
Britney Gibbs is a masters student in computer science at Montana State University, where she works with Dr. David Millman and Dr. Brendan Mumey on the NSF BRaID project. The “Biofilm Resource and Information Database (BRaID)” project is a collaboration which also includes the CBE and DePaul University in Chicago. BRaID is a community resource containing biofilm-specific data and metadata and is dedicated to storage, analysis, and communication of this information to a broad range of stakeholders in basic and applied research and industry. Britney will give an overview of the project and then focus specifically her role in creating a tool for managing images and other data from biofilm experiments.
For CBE & MSU: Britney will demo a website to store images. If you’d like to test it out before hand, please visit http://cbeimagedb.msu.montana.edu/ Please note you must be on MSU-Secure to access it.
